In the US, botox is a fast budding cosmetic procedure. In 2001, around 1.6 million Americans have undergone the botox procedure. A wrinkle free face is what botox is used for. Using anesthesia cream is quite common in those places that need to be treated. This treatment lasts around thirty minutes. The effect of this treatment is only seen after six months from the day of treatment.

Botox brings reduces the fine lines. It also brings down signs of aging. Wrinkles are reduced to a certain extent, much more that what is done through other surgeries and cosmetic procedures. Signs of aging are not completely removed, but they are reduced to a noticeable level. Skin becomes better looking and much smoother. The results of these injections are visible only after quite a few months.

Do these treatments produce side effects?

Skin problems and drooping of eyelid muscles are sure to happen of botox is injected in a higher quantity than actually required. Botox is not meant for everyone. People who are pregnant and those suffering from any sort of infections are not allowed to undergo this kind of treatment. Consulting a doctor is a must in the women is taking antibiotics of any sort.

A few of the side effects to this injection are nausea, respiratory problems, infection and headaches. The muscle gets weakened and you have facial pain after this treatment. Although the side effects are not long lasting, care needs to be taken since the treatment is given.

Consulting a doctor who is qualified enough and trained in this context is necessary before taking the treatment. A professional and a sterile environment is required for such a treatment.

Botox is used with some of its alternatives which may include injectable filler. One such filler is hylaform, which is made from an acid found in the body called as hyaluronic acid. This helps in regaining the lost youthful appearance of your skin. Sunken eyes and cheeks are corrected by sculptra. It also is helpful in thickening the skin and making it look healthier. Skin can be made beautiful by using botox with other alternatives.
