In 1968-69, Bud Selig and the Allyn brothers signed a contract of nine home games at the Milwaukee County Stadium. Although Bill Veeck made a futile attempt to revive the White Sox in 1975 but by 1980, the Sox were looking for new ownership. The White Sox continued to slide back into mediocrity through the 1980s.
