How to Care for Your Crocs Shoes

By: david

Crocs is fast becoming the footwear of choice of people of all ages from different walks of life. Costing just over $ 30 a pair, people find it hard to resist this candy-colored casual footwear. Some even purchase more than one pair so that they can have shoes to match their outfits. Crocs also has over 40 styles to choose from so it's almost impossible not to find a pair you would like.

Crocs, made of the proprietary material Croslite, is very popular for its comfort. They are worn by nurses, chefs and people who need to be on their feet the whole day. They are also used as boating shoes, gardening shoes or just everyday shoes for schlepping around. They can be worn just about anywhere including little outdoor adventures. This means that it's inevitable for your Crocs to become dirty and just because the shoes cost only around $40 means you should just let them rot away. Besides, who wants to walk around with very dirty shoes?

It is important to take care of your crocs and keep them clean so that they will last even longer. Because the footwear conforms to the shape of your foot, it would be a totally sad to let go of a footwear that fit perfectly well just because they had become too unsightly.

The good thing is, Crocs are very easy to clean. Some people even put their Crocs in the dishwasher! Little dirt can be easily washed off by hosing down your Crocs. If you used your Crocs for a day of hiking just leave them in soapy water for a few minutes and then scrub them off with a soft sponge before rinsing them with warm water.

To keep the luster and shine of your Crocs, use the specially-formulated Crocs butter to shine your Crocs. The special shoe polish comes with its own sponge. After washing your Crocs allow them to dry and then rub the Crocs butter all over your shoes. They will come out looking almost new! The Crocs butter is perfect for all the Crocs designs from the legendary Beach design to the more feminine Prima.

To keep your Crocs in perfect condition, keep them away from extreme heat or under direct sunlight for long hours. Exposure to extreme heat can deform your shoes as they are made of the special rubber Croslite. Keep them with your other shoes inside the shoe cabinet. Make sure it is dry when you store them so that it doesn't bring too much moisture into the shoe cabinet.

A pair Crocs when used regularly for running simple errands like grocery-shopping and such can last up to 2 years. They are really worth every penny you pay for them. If you use your Crocs for other more strenuous activities, make sure you get a new pair once the soles no longer offer the level of grip required for your activities.
