How to Create a Home Spa in 6 Simple Steps

Ah…a visit to your favorite spa. But if you’re like most people, these words are part of a dream. You never really get to the spa, even though you want to. Good news! You CAN make the spa experience a part of your life.

If life is tense and frustrating and you need a break, you can create a mini aromatherapy spa in your bathroom with little effort. You will soon have the ability to chill at home, delighted in the knowledge that you don’t have to take the time – or money – to go to a day spa.

Okay, Let’s Get Moving

If you really want the spa experience at home, you have to take action. Here are the 6 easy steps you need to undertake.

Step 1

Place any toys – yours or those of your children – in a basket outside the bathtub.

Step 2

Put a comfy towel by the bath for use later.

Step 3

Get hold of a cushy bathrobe and slippers so that you can duplicate that spa feeling.

Step 4

Okay, it’s time for aromatherapy soy candles and a nice CD. For your music, I recommend something tranquil. Also consider lavender scented candles to set the mood.

Step 5

Next, get some Epsom salts, aromatherapy body lotion or aromatherapy bath oil, and pumice.

Step 6

It would be helpful if you could give yourself twenty minutes to enjoy your new spa. Put a couple of tablespoons of Epsom salt and some aromatherapy body lotion into the tub. Turn on the hot water, using both the shower and faucet in order to gain the most steam, and fill the tub. Light the aromatherapy soy candles. Perhaps play some music to relax with.} Take off your robe and get into the tub. Scrub with pumice to exfoliate and take in the aromatherapy scents, and feel the aromatherapy body lotion cleanse your body.

It’s now time to put moisturizer all over your body. Rinse. Okay, when you are relaxed and ready to leave the bath, slip into your cushy robe. Finally, enjoy some herbal peppermint tea to complete your spa time.

So relax – an aromatherapy spa is in your future! Your worries will soon melt away as you sit in your aromatherapy home sp.
