How to Get Around Barcelona

1. Metro -The easiest and cheapest way to get around Barcelona is to use this public transport, with 5 different lines each coded by a different color and running from 5am to midnight on Mondays through Thursdays and Sundays; and from 5am to 2am on Fridays, Saturdays and holidays. The regular one-way fare will cost around 1€. Tickets will be checked before boarding and it may be a good idea to get a deal on the multiple-trip tickets.


2. Suburban Train Service- FCG, Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya, is also a wise travel option with 2 lines in Barcelona and 4 others going to towns close by. Trains run from 5:45am to 12:05am on Mondays through Thursdays; from 5:50am to 2:15am on Fridays and Saturdays; and from 5:50am to 12:02am on Sundays. The fare is also around 1€.


3. The Bus- It is also a great way of seeing the city. Different routes have different schedules and fares are also around 1€.


4. Taxi- Is the most comfortable way of getting around the city but is also the most expensive. They are black and yellow in color and shows a green light when available.
