Re-balancing Your Body with Colon Hydrotherapy

By: david

When there is an abnormal growth of tissues in the body that has no useful function, this is usually a tumor or a cyst. Tumors can be benign or malignant. If a tumor is benign, it is of no threat to the body, unless it becomes too large or obstructs the function of other organs. Regardless, it is best that such growths are dissolved as a preventative measure. Malignant tumors are cancerous; these should be treated immediately upon detection, as the existing conditions in the body are not only feeding the existing tumor, but are also creating an environment in which more tumors can grow.

When the body has created an environment in which abnormal growths can thrive, it is often the result of what we are consuming in terms of food, liquid, or even environmental toxins. Current medical research has revealed that iodine deficiency is a common cause of fibrocystic breast tumors, which have become common among women today. Some other factors that play a role are chemical fertilizers, sprays, insecticides and hormone imbalances- these all have a destructive effect on the vitamins, minerals and enzymes that our body requires to maintain a healthy quality of life.

Fortunately, most of us come equipped with common sense. What does common sense tell us in this situation? To change the environment so that we are no longer facilitating the growth of that which we wish to be rid of! This actually isn't difficult- viruses and bacteria thrive on acidic pH levels within the body, sugars, rancid oils (used more often than many realize) and on the chemicals in pre-packaged or canned foods.

In order to clear out toxic waste and slow-moving fermenting fecal matter, as well as remedy an acidic body, many choose to undergo colonics, or as it is often called, colon irrigation. Colon hydrotherapy is becoming more popular, with institutions such as Natural Rejuvenation in Indianapolis offering hydrotherapy in a calm and comforting environment. Colonics are not nearly as intimidating as the name implies. In fact, it is a private experience in a peaceful setting with reading material, music and temperature controls. A padded table with an opening beneath you leads to a clear eliminating viewing tube. The water that is going into your body is filtered and temperature controlled. The tube that goes into your rectum is small- about the size of a pencil- and no more than an inch inside of you. When you feel full of water, you push it out, or have a bowel movement, which goes around the tube and drops down into the viewing tube. You do not have to strain or get up and move during this process. It is a comfortable and non-invasive experience.

Once you have cleansed the colon, you want to then seek a more alkaline body. The ideal would be for your diet to include two-thirds alkaline food and one-third acid food. Acidic conditions in the body can also contribute to acid reflux, arthritis, sinus and respiratory problems, and more.

Acid forming foods include the following:
